Porsius 35 m, 1988, Netherlands – Project Yacht

All-aluminium hull and superstructure. LOA 34.81 m, beam 7.38 m, draft 1.70 m, 227 GT. 2 x MTU / Detroit Diesel 12V 396 TB94, 2,610 HP each. 8 guests in 4 en-suite cabins, crew of 6. Ashore in Istanbul, Turkey. Offered “as is” – owner motivated and open to offers.

THE PROJECT

AGARTHA is offered as a refit project for a buyer who wants a large, fast aluminium motor yacht with a proven pedigree at a fraction of replacement cost. The scope of work is clearly defined:

  • Engines and generators: full service
  • Hull: new paint system below the waterline, local paint corrections above
  • Teak decks: replacement of all teak decks except the flybridge
  • Fore deck: hatch repair
  • Watermakers: new filters and membranes
  • Electrical system: service, with replacement of some breakers and sensors (inspected mid-2024, most systems found functional)
  • Interior: generally in good condition, refreshment in some areas

The structural basis is sound. An ultrasonic thickness measurement of the aluminium hull plating was carried out in February 2024 by a Türk Loydu-certified company; results show plate thicknesses above the required limits. In July 2024 the main engines and generators were test-run ashore and all started successfully (video available on request). The yacht has been out of the water since the 2022 season.

Refit work can be carried out in Turkey, where well-equipped yards currently offer competitive pricing. A meeting with a local refit yard can be arranged for interested buyers during a viewing.

THE YACHT

Built in 1988 by Porsius Shipyard in the Netherlands and designed by Gerhard Gilgenast, AGARTHA was built to high technical standards. She sleeps 8 guests in 4 en-suite cabins: a full-beam master suite amidships on the lower deck and three large twin cabins. A lounge on the forward main deck can be converted into an additional cabin. Crew accommodation for 6 in 4 cabins.

Twin MTU 12V 396 TB94 engines give an economic cruising speed of 12 knots, a maximum speed of 32 knots and a range of 3,000 nm at 12 knots. Engine hours: Port 2,737 / Stbd 2,535 (June 2024). Equipment includes two Northern Lights 50 kW generators, Vosper Wavebeta hydraulic fin stabilizers, Cramm hydraulic bow thruster, stern thruster, two Matrix watermakers, hydraulic passerelle and swim platform. Fuel capacity 35,700 litres, fresh water 5,850 litres.
